Snow Day!!!

We got 5 or 6 new inches of snow over the night last night. School has been cancelled ALL week, but today was great to play out in the fresh snow. The kids and I went out early, they love to be the first to put prints in the snow. Then Jas (he's working from home) came out with us on his lunch hour. Of course when Daddy pulls them on the sled he runs- so now I'm not going to be able to get away with just walking them on the sled anymore! Unfortunately with my great big gloved fingers I switched the camera to black&white a few times... It's still coming down outside and I love to look at it, but I have SO much left to get done before Christmas and I'm kind of freaking out that I won't be able to get it all done!!!!

Decorating Cookies!

The day after we got back from Whistler we went over to mom and dad's to decorate Christmas cookies. The kids had fun decorating and then eating of course! Quinn actually stayed at it for quite a while, whereas Aiden decorated a few quickly, ate them and was then bored of it! It was funny to watch Jake trying to scoop up all the sprinkles off the table onto a spoon to eat! We miss the DeMichiel's!!!!

While Brian, Jill and Jake were here we all went up to Whistler, BC and met up with some friends of theirs from Vancouver. It was FREEZING, but we had a blast! All the men went snowboarding on Saturday when the temp at the peak was -4 degrees!!! We had a great room at the Crystal Lodge with a balcony that was perfect for the kids to go out on to make and throw snowballs. I love the action shot of Brian in mid-throw!

Uncle Brian, Auntie Jill and Jake Visit

We were so lucky to have our Uncle Brian, Auntie Jill and Jake visit and stay for a week. We had so much fun hanging around the house, the kids playing together. Jill, my mom and I went to dinner and a movie one night leaving Jas and Brian with all the kids! Brian was so sweet to do Jason's chore of hanging crown moulding in the den- Thanks Bri- I don't know when (or if) it would have ever been done!

Quinn's Holiday Concert

Quinn's class put on a little holiday concert that was very cute. They sang songs that celebrated many diverse holidays. She had told me on the way to school she was NOT going to sing in front of everybody. She lived up to her word and didn't even open her mouth the whole time!

Decorating the Tree

The kids "helped" me decorate the tree tonight. They were VERY excited about it and amazingly enough no ornaments were harmed :)

Santa Train

Grandma and Grandpa took the kids and Jas and I on the Santa Train again this year. It is a short train ride to the "North Pole" to see Santa and to eat cookies and drink hot chocolate. The kids love it and it's a fun holiday tradition.
