Popsicles on the porch!

It was warm, which to Aiden and Quinn means POPSICLES ON THE PORCH!!! So, here is the first of many- Popsicles on the Porch postings!

Hike #2

For hike #2 we went to McCollum Park. It has a great trail that runs behind it. It amazes me that such a beautiful park is right off a busy street! We brought Grandma and Grandpa and we hiked for about 45 minutes. Aiden LOVES to go for hikes, at one point he told Grandma "It is so beautiful in here in the woods."

Hike #1

Today was such a beautiful day, we decided to go for 2 hikes! This is hike #1, at Tambark Creek Park down the street from our house. It is pretty rural and mommy didn't like the rustling noises coming from the underbrush, so we cut that one short.

Ballet Recital

Quinn's recital was yesterday, she did surprisingly well! She actually stayed on stage and didn't cry. That was all we could ask for! She's the one one the far left holding a onto a teacher's hand.

Quinn's New Doo

Quinn has been spending too much time with Grandma! She did it herself and she was very proud!

Pony Rides!

Saturday night we went to a party at Colleen's. What an amazing time! Their was face painting, a bouncy house, pony rides and the food was fantastic! She hired a caterer that brought an actual wood oven to bake pizzas on the street. The kids had a great time, we were especially surprised at how much Aiden loved the pony rides. He has a strong aversion to livestock, so this was a big step! What a great time, we will really miss the Odore's! Good luck in Greece!

Ballet Recital Dress Rehersal

Saturday was the dress rehersal for Quinn's ballet recital. She was, just as predicted, NOT into dancing on the stage. You can see in the pictures she was NOT happy and her teacher, Ms. Jennifer, held her during the dance. After their dance number was pictures and she told me as we were walking upstairs for the pictures that she wanted to get on the stage and dance now! But of course the drama wasn't over yet. She threw a huge fit for the pictures and wouldn't sit in the group photo until I threatened to throw away a new Tinker Bell toy, and even with that she sat next to the girls with her legs splayed out while all the other girls were neatly seated on their knees. She finally smiled for her individual pictures. Next weekend, the actual recital, should be interesting. She says she is going to dance, but I really doubt it!
