Auntie Jill and Jake Visit!

Auntie Jill and Jake came this week for a quick visit. Jake has gotten so big and is a dude that will not be held down! He is all over the place and loves to run and climb. All the kids loved playing in the "running room" and Jake liked to copy everything Aiden was doing. Car rides were a different story, with Quinn in the middle and the boys on either side it was trying. Jake just wanted to hold her hand and she was NOT interested, so instead she just screamed. Good times. We miss you guys! Can't wait for December!!!

Cost Rica- Part 1

After flying all night we finally arrived in San Jose on the morning of July 28th, 2008. That evening was Dave and Caro's wedding at the church.

We stayed with Caro's sister, Sylvia and her husband Fabio and their kids Fabio and Marianne. Quinn and Marianne are only weeks apart in age and despite not speaking the same language, they got along great and had so much fun playing together. Aiden was in heaven because Fabio has a Wii and was willing to let Aiden play Mario Kart for hours!

On Wed. the 30th, Mom, Dad, Jas, the kids and I all went on a tour to La Paz waterfall and butterfly gardens. We had a great time and saw some amazing things. It was raining like crazy (imagine that, in the rainforest) and we were SOAKED, but so glad we went.

On Thursday the 31st, we all loaded into a bus and traveled from San Jose to the coast where the wedding was going to take place. On Friday Jason, myself, Dad, Scott, Kristen, Gerry, Will and Kevin all went on a Skywalk and Zipline tour. It was a lot of fun and interesting to get to have a guide pointing various things out on the tour in the rainforest.

Costa Rica- Part 2

The Wedding-
Dave and Caro's wedding took place on August 2, 2008 at the Los Suenos Marriott. It was absolutely amazing. It was a celebration like none other that I have been to. It went all night until 4am. At 11pm they had a Carnivale that was great fun! We all had a wonderful time. Congrats to them and we welcome Caro to our family.

After all of the excitement of the wedding we all went to a different hotel to stay a few nights. Tango Mar was much smaller and we got to spend more time with everybody. The kids had a great time playing on the beach and swimming in the pool. Unfortunately Aiden got sick there and spent most of the last day in bed.

We had such a great time seeing the country and getting to know Caro's family better. We are so appreciative of all the hospitality and welcoming we received. We can't wait to go back to visit again.
