Today Quinn told me that she was ready for earrings. She's been talking about earrings for a long time, but once I explained to her how they are done she decided to wait. I told her that whenever she was ready to do it, I would take her. So today was the day. We were waiting at school for Aiden's class to start and a girl in his class had earrings that she noticed. She said she wanted to go "right now and get earrings" I asked if she remembered how they do it and she said "yes, they will make a tiny hole in my ear and it will hurt." Ok, so if they do one they are GOING TO DO BOTH. "yes mommy, I know." Well, I'm sure you can guess how it went. In her own words "it didn't went good". After a very lengthy earring selection process, she chose a very cute flower earring. She was very eager to get started yelling " I want my earrings" while I was at the counter signing the release. Only moments later, in the chair you would have thought I had drug her to the store against her will and forced her into the chair. After the first earring, it sounded like someone had stabbed her repeatedly. She was screaming bloody murder for all the mall to hear! At least an hour later, she is still screaming, I'm sweating and many bribes have been offered- still only one earring. Finally, we decided our only option left- the strong hold.
To make a long story short- it's done and she's happy now! She says she never wants to change them. Wow am I glad it's over!
